In 2018, as the market was changing, Joe returned to the wholesale mortgage broker channel from a larger retail lender and quickly flourished to become one of Salt Lake City’s best mortgage brokers. “It was a ‘no brainer,’” remarked Joe, “it was easy to see the existing retail model was not best for consumers with the high overhead, bloated middle management and high rent office space. We wanted to return to the small, local, low cost, boutique style operation allowing us to get our clients the lowest cost possible without charging extra fees like processing to cover overhead.” Since then, business has been brisk with hundreds of clients being better served with lower costs and no drama. Joe specializes in helping clients finance their first home, move up home, vacation and rental property.
Since 2002, Joe Libin has worked as a residential mortgage loan professional in Salt Lake City, Utah originating over 1600 loans on volume of more than half a billion dollars. He previously was a top mortgage loan producer at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage then recruited to build and run sub prime lending for JP Morgan Chase Bank both in Salt Lake City, UT. Having been in retail banking, retail lending and now back in wholesale mortgage brokering, Joe has helped thousands of clients with their finances, credit and mortgage needs. The first thing you will notice about Joe is that he deeply cares about helping people reach their financial goals. Joe graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1991 and is a graduate of Judge Memorial Catholic High School. He’s a Utah native and loves to play golf and travel along with his wife Jeni and son Jack.
